Edo Glass Made in Japan
"USU" in "USUHARI (うすはり)" means "thin", and "HARI" means "glass". Together they mean "thin glass". The glass of "USUHARI" is carefully made piece by piece by craftsmen. The thickness of each piece is less than 1 mm. The extremely meticulous process achieves an amazing lightness and gentle touch. What’s even more amazing is that because the overall thinness is consistent, the weight is evenly distributed, so although it looks fragile on the outside, it actually has a certain ability to withstand impacts. It has both appearance and practicality. It is not an exaggeration to say that it is a glass that combines Japanese technology.
- A very special shaped glass
- The raised part in the middle is intended to let the aroma of sake come out through collision.
- You will never see this design on ordinary glasses, and it definitely deserves to be called a glass dedicated to Daiginjo.
Suntoku Glass has always insisted on making the cup by hand to make an extremely thin cup body that cannot be achieved by machines, and to feel the lightness the moment you hold it in your hand. The cup wall of less than 1mm increases the touch of the lips, tongue and drink.
